P5 McAllister Measuring using metre sticks and rulers
17th Jan 2018
In class we enjoyed using measuring equipment to find out the exact lengths of all of the walls in our classroom. We discussed what measuring tools we wanted to use and why we had chosen them. We looked carefully at our classroom and estimated the lengths of each wall before measuring exactly. We worked in groups which was really enjoyable and we recorded our exact measurements on a table. We converted our metre measurements into centimetre measurements and we worked out maths problems. Measuring was fun!
