P5 McAllister Engineer Visit
Today we went on the Belfast City Bus Tour, we seen some incredible places and found out some amazing information about the place we live! We drove past the Titanic Building and saw the SS Nomadic which is said to be the Titanic’s little sister. We also saw the Grand Opera House and Victoria Square before heading up to Stormont. We were able to get off the bus at Stormont and have a look around outside, where we were told that, during World War 2, the whole of the Stormont building was covered in tar and manure in order to hide it from being bombed. We also got to see many of the colourful murals which tell the history of Belfast and Northern Ireland. It was great fun to see all of the beautiful places we have on our doorstep and we came away with a much better appreciation for our stunning city.
