P4 McIlroy Assembly
On Thursday 19th October P.4 McIlroy took part in an assembly to celebrate the importance of Light especially in autumn and Winter. We looked at ways to keep safe as we travel during the darker mornings and after school. Then we thought about those who may feel darkness within themselves due to worry, loneliness or illness. However we remembered the words that Jesus taught us, "I am the light of the world. Any one who follows me will never be in darkness." After that we told the story of 'Jonah and the Whale' and how Jonah found Gods light through prayer and shared the good news with others. Our assembly was filled with songs, prayers and storytelling from the bible. We had a great time and felt very happy to let our little lights shine out for others to see.
