P2 O'Prey Shape Detectives
Today the children used their sense of sight to observe shapes around the school. Andy, Igor, Sarah A, Colleen, Joseph and Ethan found circles. They saw hoops and a Frisbee in the PE hall. In the P1 yard there were signs and mirrors. Oliver found a square and Sarah B found a triangle in the P1 yard. Hannah found a rectangle mat and Divsah found a square. Mohamed knew the door was a rectangle and Emma spotted the big rectangle pin-board. Mustafa found a hexagon in the hall. Isabella noticed the seat on the chair was a square. Han noticed a big metal square in the P1 yard. Next week we will look at 2D shapes and count the sides and corners. Which shape has one curved side?
