The Nanny from Mount Stewart visited our classroom. She told us all about her job and looking after Mary in the house. A nanny was a bit like a baby sitter. She also brought along some of Mary’s old toys for us to look at. She brought in an old teddy stuffed with straw, a porcelain doll which was very breakable and lots of toys made from tin and wood. It was lots of fun, we got to play with the old toys at the end.
