P1 Merron - Visit from the Belfast City Council
We had a visitor to our classroom on Monday. Her name was Corrina and she was from the Belfast City Council. She was visiting our classroom to tell us all about litter. Some of us had heard of Captain Cleanup and she told us about what he does. How he looks after the city and helps remind people to not drop litter.
She told us a story all about a girl called Sophie. Sophie learnt all about litter and the problems it can cause to animals. We met a seagull that got caught in plastic. A hedgehog stuck in an ice cream tub and a squirrel caught in a can.
We all know how important it is not to drop litter. Not only does it look untidy and makes our environment unclean it also can be harmful to animals.
