P1 Merron - Ordinal numbers
We have been talking all about ordinal numbers in numeracy this week, concentrating on first, second, third, fourth and fifth. Also talking about the language 'last'. (We also chatted about telling people they came last with a cross voice and how this might hurt someone's feelings, we also said that someone will have to be last and that it is no big deal)
We have been using ordinal numbers during PE lessons when we did our races.
We have also raced cars during numeracy and had to work out what position they came in.
You could use ordinal numbers at home. Who is going to brush their teeth first? Who is the last person into the car? Who finished their dinner second? etc.
