P1 Merron - Literacy - Writing using the word wall
This week we have been using the word wall/word grid to write sentences.
Mrs Merron has been seriously impressed. Everyone had a go at writing lots of sentences using finger spaces between words and full stops at the end. Everyone used words from the word wall and then some of their own words (they used their sounds to sound out those words, the phonic alphabet can help with that).
Well done!!!
Homework this week was writing sentences using the word book (green one). Hopefully you had your word book out along with the phonic alphabet to help sound out new words (words not in the word book). It is helpful to say the sentence out loud a few times before starting to write it down and making sure you can read the words in the green word book. You could try it again on your own or next week when your doing the sentence starters worksheet for homework.
