This week in literacy we have been trying cloze procedures. So what are cloze procedures, these are sentences from our reading books with missing words. E.g. It was Kipper's ____________ . We then have to find the correct word to put into the space. It can be tricky as we have to read the sentence without pictures to help us.
We have been working very hard at our reading in class and Mrs Merron was impressed with how we managed the cloze procedures for the first time. You could try cloze procedures at home, an adult could write out the sentences with missing words.
Mrs Merron has also started a WOW wall. This is for WOW work, your work gets put on the WOW wall and you get a WOW. If you get 5 WOW's then you get to go to the treat box!
