We have been learning all about adding for a while now. Mrs Merron wanted to see if we could think of lots of sums to equal 6. We had a page of 6 astronauts and we had to partition our sums to make sums e.g. by placing the straw in the middle we created the sum 3 plus 3, if we put the straw near the end of the page we made 1 plus 4. We had to first read out our sum using plus and equals then we had a go at writing them on our whiteboards. We were very good at making lots of sums to 6.
