We have a big Carroll Diagram in our classroom all year showing who in our class is 4/ not 4 but today we were using small Carroll Diagrams for the first time to sort our pots of objects.
Each Carroll Diagram could be sorted a different way. Kathleen sorted for boat/ not boat and then swopped her Carroll Diagram with Damian who was sorting car/ not car. We all swopped our Carroll Diagrams around and we got lots of goes sorting in our group. We were able to tell Mrs McNamee how we had sorted each time.
At home you an adult could help you make your own Carroll Diagram with a page and ruler and you could do some sorting. You could try doll/ not doll, sock/ not sock or toy car/ not toy car. I’m sure you could think of lots of lovely ways to sort!
