Measuring with metre sticks is fun!
Today we had great fun measuring in class. We worked in pairs with our metre sticks and had to find objects longer and shorter than a metre. We then had to estimate the length of the classroom, the height of the door and the length of the classroom. We got better and better at estimating. At first some people estimated that the class would be longer than 20metres! The best part of the lesson was that we had to see if we could jump longer than one metre. Everyone gathered around the mat at the front of the room and we all tried to jump further than a metre. There was so much cheering Mrs Gray came in! Nicolas took some wonderful photographs of us all. Maths was great fun today.
