Congratulations to all the children from St. Brigid's Parish who made their Confirmation yesterday. It was a very special parish occasion. The children were a credit to their parents, sponsors and teachers. We would like to thank their teachers Mrs McKenna, Miss Montague, Mr Cunningham, Miss Maguire, Mrs McHugh, Brenda Kennedy and Fionnuala Hunt who all worked very hard to prepare them for this sacrament. A special thanks also to Mrs Toal and Mrs White who coordinated the music - it was wonderful and really added to the ceremony. Bishop Farquhar told us very funny stories about him accompanying the Ireland Team to the World Cup in 1990. Father O'Donnell asked us to always remember Jesus. Everyone loved their party bags and the mums, dads and family relatives enjoyed their tea and biscuits in the Parish Hall afterwards. Thanks also to our wonderful PTA and Mr Paul Rogers for helping to make the night such a great success.
